Dr. Sauro Cristofani
I was born in Deruta, a small town near Perugia 24.09.59.
I graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1985 at the University of Perugia.
I obtained my specialisation in Endocrinology at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of Perugia in 1988.
In the same year I had the chance to enter the Scuola Italiana d'Implantologica a carico immediato (Italian Implantology School) under Prof. Stefano Tramonte of Milan.
I began to practise as a freelance dentist in Perugia in 1988, where I continue to practise today.
I am a founding member of AIIP, Accademia Internacional de Implantologia y Periodoncia, set up in Barcelona in May 2002 and which counts some of the most important Latin- American implantologists among its members.
I am an honorary member of the Sociedad Peruana de Implantologia Estomatologica.
I am a founding member of IAFIL � International Academy for Immediate Loading � set up in Rome in March 2007.
From 1998 to 2001 I collaborated with the implantology journals firstly with "FOCUS- Rivista di Implantologia" and then "THE NOTES � Appunti di Implantologia" writing a monthly column: "Il caso clinico".
In 1998, I was a speaker for training courses organised by Oral-Implant in Italy and abroad.
From December 2010 � June 2011 I attended a specialisation course " Valutazioni strumentali dell'Apparato Stomatologico" at the University of Milan to learn application techniques of EMGs (electromyography) to assess mastication.
I have more than ten years' experience in the field of electrowelded implantology which involves the welding of implants to each other thus increasingly their strength and solidity.
I have more than twenty years' experience in the field of implantology
